International Harp Master Class by DENITZA DIMITROVA (10–11 and 17–18 October 2026)

The Pancho Vladigerov House Museum in Sofia (Bulgaria) announces the opening of registration for this year’s International masterclass with harpist Denitza Dimitrova (10 – 11 and 17 – 18 October)

Denitza Dimitrova is among the most internationally acknowledged Bulgarian harpists.

In 2004, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Harp from the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia. She then continued her studies for two years with the world-renowned harpist Prof. Elisabeth Fontan-Binoche in Nice, France.

For five years, Denitza served as a harp lecturer at the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”. She began her teaching career at the age of 25 while maintaining an active performing schedule. In 2010, she moved to Lebanon, where she performed with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra and taught harp at the Lebanese National Conservatory of Music. Since 2006, she has been a solo-harpist at the Sofia Opera and Ballet.

Denitza Dimitrova is the winner of numerous awards, including 1st Prize at the UFAM International Competition in Paris (2005) and 2nd Prize at the “Revelation Muses” Competition in Nice (2005) among many others. In 2026, she won the First Prize in “Excellence” category at the International harp competition in Limoges, France,

She has performed at international festivals and collaborated with world-famous artists such as Sonya Yoncheva, Plácido Domingo, and José Carreras. She has also served as a faculty member at two International Summer Harp Academies in Bulgaria, attracting students from many countries. Every year, she holds a master class in the house-museum “Prof. P. Vladigerov”, which became international on its previous edition. Her teacher, Prof. Elisabeth Fontan-Binoche, describes her as “a true musical inspiration”.

• The masterclass is suitable for beginners, school students, and university students.
• Those wishing to participate should send an inquiry to the museum’s email address: museum.vladigerov@gmail.com. You will then receive an application form, which must be completed and returned to the same address.
• Participants will receive confirmation of their acceptance via email.
• The classes will take place over the last two weekends of October (10–11 and 17–18 October).
• The participation fee is 50 euros per hour (50 minutes). Each participant will receive two hours of lessons. Additional hours may be requested, subject to the teacher’s availability and the total number of participants.
• The schedule will be finalized by 8 October and sent by email to all accepted participants.
• All participants will receive a diploma upon completion of the masterclass.
• The final participants’ concert will take place on Sunday, 18 October at the Pancho Vladigerov House Museum in Sofia.

 Payment is made by bank transfer after receiving confirmation of participation via email.
 The masterclass is also open to passive participants (listeners) for a fee of 5 euros per day.
